Hailing from the historic city of Madurai, his academic brilliance found early recognition when he completed his law degree in 1975 from the University of Madras, securing the First Rank in the First Year Law Course and University Ranks in all three years—a rare and remarkable achievement.
His scholastic journey glittered with an unparalleled constellation of awards and medals, including the Sir Morehead Law Prize, Sir William Ayling Memorial Prize, Sir Venkatesam Gold Medal, Bardswell Law Prize, Rotary Club Law Scholarship, and the coveted Madras Law College Rolling Shield, among many others—each honour affirming his mastery over the law. He also holds Master’s Degree in Law of Contracts including Mercantile Law, master’s Degree in Labour & Industrial Relations and Administrative Law, Master’s Degree in Criminology and Police Administration, Master’s Degree in Marketing Management, Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Doctorate in Law (PhD).
After commencing his legal practice in Madurai, he established an academy for law students in various cities of Tamil nadu and Karnataka. To help the law students, he started authoring law books in simple, lucid English, demystifying complex legal concepts for students. These books soon became indispensable companions to law students and found their place in law bookshops across India.
Today, his work proudly celebrates 50 Golden Years (1975–2025), warmly embraced by generations of students. Thousands who studied from his books now stand as Advocates, Senior Counsel, and even Judges, a living testament to his enduring legacy. Even now, Dr. Jaganth continues to serve the legal fraternity with the same zeal, dedication, and undiminished enthusiasm.

She has to her credit a master’s degree in Contracts, master’s Degree in Psychology and master’s Degree in Philosophy and Religion.
